PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Gluten Free Cup of Tea and may include information you voluntarily provide, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and limited information received from third-party services.
Information you voluntarily provide may include your name, email address, information submitted through contact forms, newsletter subscription information, comments, questions, corrections, recommendations, or other information you choose to send to us.
If you contact us regarding Celiac-Friendly camps or programs offered by The Makery Studios, your communication may include information about your child's dietary needs, celiac disease, food allergies, or other information you voluntarily provide. Camp registration and camper records are handled under The Makery Studios' separate policies and registration documents.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our website platform, analytics tools, advertising technologies, and integrated services may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, approximate location derived from technical information, cookie or advertising identifiers, links clicked, and information about how you interact with the Site.
This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, understand, advertise, measure, and improve the Site and our content, subject to applicable law and available privacy choices.
3. Cookies, Pixels and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, advertising technologies, and similar technologies to provide website functionality, remember preferences, understand Site usage, measure performance, support security, measure advertising effectiveness, create or measure audiences, and improve the visitor experience.
The Site is hosted or operated using Wix, and Wix and services integrated with the Site may use cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their own policies.
Your browser or device may allow you to block, delete, or limit certain cookies. We may also provide cookie or privacy controls when required by applicable law. Disabling certain technologies may affect Site features or our ability to measure advertising.
4. Meta, Facebook and Instagram
Gluten Free Cup of Tea expects to use Meta Platforms, Inc. services extensively for marketing, advertising, audience development, and social-media engagement. These services may include Facebook, Instagram, Meta Business tools, Meta advertising tools, and technologies such as the Meta Pixel or similar Meta measurement and advertising technologies.
When Meta advertising or measurement technologies are enabled on the Site, Meta may receive information about a visitor's interaction with the Site. Depending on the technology and configuration, this may include information such as IP address, browser or device information, cookie or advertising identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, referring information, and certain actions taken on the Site.
We may use Meta technologies to measure advertising performance, understand how visitors arrive at and interact with the Site, create or measure advertising audiences, limit or improve ad delivery, retarget or remarket to visitors where permitted, and understand the effectiveness of campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta technologies.
Meta may process information it receives in accordance with its own terms, privacy policies, and business-tool requirements. Gluten Free Cup of Tea does not control Meta's independent processing of information.
Depending on applicable law and the technologies used, some disclosures of personal information through advertising or tracking technologies may be considered "sharing," targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, or similar regulated activity. Where applicable, we will provide legally required notices and choices.
We do not intentionally provide Meta with information that identifies a person's celiac disease, food allergies, symptoms, medical condition, medically required diet, or other sensitive health information for advertising, retargeting, audience creation, or ad personalization. We also do not intentionally configure Meta advertising events or audience names to communicate sensitive health information about an identifiable visitor.
Visitors should understand that merely visiting a website focused on gluten-free and celiac-related topics can potentially reveal contextual information about interests. For that reason, we intend to use reasonable care in how Meta advertising and measurement technologies are configured on health-related pages.
5. How We Use Information
We may use information we collect to operate and maintain the Site; respond to questions and messages; provide requested resources or downloads; send newsletters or other communications you request; provide updates about gluten-free resources, recommendations, travel information, or other Site content; communicate about Celiac-Friendly camps or The Makery Studios when you request that information; understand Site usage; advertise and promote Gluten Free Cup of Tea; measure Meta and other marketing campaigns; improve our content and resources; protect the security and integrity of the Site; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
We do not use medical, celiac-related, allergy, or other sensitive health information voluntarily shared with us for unrelated advertising purposes.
6. Email and Newsletter Communications
If you subscribe to our email list or newsletter, we may use your email address to send Gluten Free Cup of Tea updates, new resources, restaurant or travel information, downloadable guides, recommendations, Celiac-Friendly camp information, or other related content.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe method included in the message.
We may still send non-promotional communications when reasonably necessary to respond to a request or complete an interaction you initiated.
7. Celiac, Allergy and Dietary Information
Because Gluten Free Cup of Tea focuses on gluten-free living and celiac-related resources, visitors may sometimes voluntarily share information concerning celiac disease, gluten-free diets, food allergies, sensitivities, symptoms, or other dietary or health-related matters.
Please do not submit more sensitive medical information than is reasonably necessary for your question or request.
We may use information you voluntarily provide to respond to your communication, understand a correction or recommendation, or direct you to appropriate information.
Gluten Free Cup of Tea is not a healthcare provider and does not maintain medical records through the Site.
We do not intentionally use this information to create Meta advertising audiences, personalize Meta advertisements, or send sensitive health information to Meta for advertising purposes.
8. Celiac-Friendly Camps and The Makery Studios
Gluten Free Cup of Tea may provide information about Celiac-Friendly camps and other programs operated by The Makery Studios LLC.
The Makery Studios LLC is responsible for camp registration, camper information, medical and emergency information, allergy and dietary information, Celiac-Friendly participation information, waivers, authorizations, and other records collected in connection with its camp programs.
Information submitted through The Makery Studios' registration process is governed by The Makery Studios' own Privacy Policy and applicable registration documents, not this Privacy Policy.
If you contact Gluten Free Cup of Tea directly with a question about a camp, we may use or share the information reasonably necessary to respond to your request or connect you with The Makery Studios. If sensitive camper information is needed for registration or participation, families should provide it through the process designated by The Makery Studios.
We do not intentionally send camper medical, allergy, celiac-related, dietary, behavioral, or other sensitive information to Meta for advertising or audience-targeting purposes.
9. Downloadable Maps, Guides and Resources
The Site may offer downloadable PDFs, maps, guides, checklists, or other resources.
We may collect limited information related to access or delivery of these resources, such as an email address when a resource is offered through an email signup or similar process.
Advertising or analytics technologies may measure general interactions with resource pages or downloads when enabled, subject to applicable law and our technology settings. We do not intentionally configure such events to transmit sensitive health information about an identifiable visitor.
Some downloadable resources contain links to third-party services such as Google Maps, restaurants, attractions, or other websites. Those third parties may collect information when you follow their links, and their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
10. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, including restaurants, retailers, manufacturers, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps, social-media platforms, travel providers, reservation services, email providers, analytics providers, advertising providers, and other services.
Gluten Free Cup of Tea does not control the privacy practices of third parties. When you leave our Site or interact with a third-party service, that service's own privacy policy and terms apply.
We encourage you to review the privacy practices of third-party services before providing personal information.
11. Service Providers
We may use service providers to help operate Gluten Free Cup of Tea, including providers that assist with website hosting, website functionality, email and newsletter delivery, analytics, advertising and campaign measurement, data storage, forms, security, and business administration.
These providers may process information as reasonably necessary to provide services to us and may also be subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.
We seek to provide service providers only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable service.
12. Advertising, Retargeting, Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content
The Site may use digital advertising and measurement services, including Meta advertising, and may contain affiliate links, sponsored content, advertising, gifted-product disclosures, or other compensated relationships.
Where permitted, advertising technologies may be used to measure conversions, understand campaign performance, create or measure audiences, and show advertising to people who previously interacted with the Site or our content.
Third-party advertising, affiliate, analytics, or retailer services may use cookies, pixels, tracking technologies, or referral information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
When applicable, we will make disclosures about compensated relationships as required by law.
We do not intentionally sell or use sensitive celiac, allergy, dietary, or medical information for targeted advertising.
13. Social Media
Gluten Free Cup of Tea may maintain and actively use Facebook and Instagram accounts and may use other social-media platforms.
If you follow, message, comment on, share, like, or otherwise interact with Gluten Free Cup of Tea through Facebook, Instagram, or another social-media service, the platform may collect and process information about that interaction under its own privacy policy.
We may receive information that the platform makes available to page or business-account operators, such as public profile information, comments, messages, engagement statistics, or aggregated audience insights.
Information you choose to post publicly on social media may be visible to others. Please use care when sharing personal, health, or information about a child in public comments or posts.
14. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended primarily for parents, caregivers, and general audiences seeking gluten-free information. It is not intended to collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Children under 13 should not independently submit personal information through the Site.
If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us without appropriate parent or guardian involvement, please contact us so we can review the information and take appropriate action.
Registration for The Makery Studios programs must be completed by an appropriate parent or legal guardian and is governed by The Makery Studios' separate privacy and registration documents.
15. Photographs, Stories and User-Submitted Content
If you voluntarily send us a photograph, story, testimonial, recommendation, correction, or other content, we may use the information to respond to you or evaluate the submission.
We will not intentionally use an identifiable photograph or personal story publicly for promotional purposes unless we have an appropriate basis or permission to do so.
Please do not submit photographs or identifying information about another person, particularly a child, unless you have the authority to provide that material.
16. When We May Share Information
We may share information when reasonably necessary with service providers assisting us in operating, analyzing, advertising, or promoting the Site or business; with Meta and other advertising or analytics providers as described in this Privacy Policy and subject to applicable law; with The Makery Studios when you ask us to facilitate a camp-related inquiry or when reasonably necessary to respond to your request; to comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, or governmental requests; to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Gluten Free Cup of Tea, our visitors, or others; to investigate suspected fraud, misuse, or unlawful activity; to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; or in connection with a business reorganization, sale, merger, or transfer, subject to applicable law.
We do not disclose sensitive health or dietary information simply because another person requests it.
17. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
Gluten Free Cup of Tea does not sell children's personal information.
We do not sell medical, celiac-related, allergy, or other sensitive dietary or health information.
Depending on the technologies used on the Site and applicable law, the use of Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, retargeting technologies, or other advertising services may be treated as "sharing," cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or similar activity even when no money is exchanged for the information.
Where legally required and applicable to our Site, we will provide required notices and methods for exercising applicable opt-out rights.
18. Information Security
We take reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical measures intended to protect personal information in our possession from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no website, email, online form, transmission, advertising technology, or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Please use care when sending sensitive information through ordinary email, social media, or website forms.
19. Information Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, destroy, or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
20. Your Privacy Choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe method provided in the communication.
You may be able to manage cookies and advertising technologies through your browser, device settings, Site cookie controls, or privacy tools offered by third-party platforms.
Meta also provides its own account, advertising, and privacy controls for Facebook and Instagram users. Those controls are provided and administered by Meta.
Where applicable law provides an opt-out right concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising, we will honor applicable requests as required by law.
You may also contact us to request that we review or correct personal information you previously provided, subject to applicable legal requirements and reasonable identity verification.
21. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights regarding their personal information under applicable California privacy laws.
Depending on which laws apply to Gluten Free Cup of Tea and the particular information involved, these rights may include rights to request information about personal information collected, request correction or deletion, obtain a copy of certain information, or opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information.
Not every California privacy law or right applies to every website, business, visitor, or category of information.
We will respond to applicable privacy requests as required by law and may take reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request.
22. Global Privacy Control and Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers and devices offer privacy signals, including Global Privacy Control ("GPC") or "Do Not Track" settings.
There is not one universally accepted standard for all browser privacy signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as GPC, and the relevant technology on our Site supports it, we will handle the signal as required by applicable law.
23. International Visitors
The Site is operated for a United States audience. If you access the Site from outside the United States, information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers, including advertising and technology providers, operate.
Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country or region.
